Doaa

Doaa and her husband Omar are the young parents of little two year old Zico. They are currently displaced and living in a tent in very harsh conditions near Nuseirat. They are from a well known family and were living a blessed life in a beautiful home before everything was taken from them. Before the war, Doaa and Omar made sure to give little Zico every comfort. But now they’re lucky if they can afford a toy, basic foods and medications for him. Zico often falls asleep with bugs crawling on him, and is woken by the sound of airstrikes. Due to bug bites, unsanitary conditions and malnutrition, Zico is suffering from a skin disease causing blisters and sores over his body. This family is desperate to evacuate to Egypt, where Doaa’s sister is. They hope in Egypt they may finally have the chance to give Zico the childhood he deserves.
