Besan

At the age of 8, Besan was injured during the 2008 war and was part of a group of children sponsored by the PCRF who received treatment in the UAE. She had to return twice to continue treatment for her injuries. Now in her senior year of university studying Industrial Engineering, the war has disrupted her education. Despite the challenges of ongoing evacuations, food and water shortages, and harsh weather conditions, Besan continues her studies online from Gaza. She hopes to find a way to safety and resume her education.
